Photos from TransAmerica Trail - 2010

During June of 2010 four of us from Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia met up at the (then) starting point of the TransAmerica Trail in Jellico, TN. From there it was on to Taos, NM where we joined spouses and friends for a Motorcycle Sport Touring Association rally. We deviated from the TAT at Long Canyon Rd, just south of the Colorado border. From my starting point in Kingsport, TN to Long Canyon road in New Mexico was 2,354 miles of more unpaved than paved road. The trip took 10 days and was an "adventure" by any standard. In TN there was a lot of rural pavement. West of the Mississippi River, not so much. It was an absolute blast! The pictures that follow without comment hopefully capture the essence of our trip. Enjoy!
